Installing Compass UI Runtime onto a Machine

  1. Copy the Prerequisites Setup.exe file from  (C:\Users\Public\Documents\YASKAWA\CompassDesigner\RuntimePrerequisites\Prerequisites Setup.exe) to the machine’s PC.
  2. Run the “Prerequisites setup.exe” file.
  3. Copy the Compass Designer Project’s build output folder from the "C:\Users\Public\Documents\YASKAWA\CompassDesigner\Projects\<project name>\Build\bin\Release\net8.0-windows” to your preferred location on the machine’s PC.
  4. To create a shortcut, right-click on the Compass.exe file -> Send to -> Desktop (create shortcut)
  5. Create the folder C:\ProgramData\Yaskawa\CompassDesigner\Config on the machine’s PC.  
  6. Copy C:\ProgramData\Yaskawa\CompassDesigner\Config\UiRuntimeConfig.txt to the same path on the machine’s PC.
  7. To start the Compass UI Runtime, run Compass.exe on the machine's PC.
