Control Sizing and Positioning
- Height and Width: If set to NaN,
control size comes from HorizontalAlignment & VerticalAlignment properties
- Implicit Size & Position
- The recommended way to layout an interface.
- The sizing and positioning of controls are
dictated by their positioning inside of their container.
- Explicit Size & Position
- This works for a single page, non-resizable
application, but if the UI Runtime’s window is a different size than the design
time window, there may be clipping and visibility issues with controls.
- Explicit sizing uses a control’s Height, Width,
and Margin properties to position itself
relative to its position within the parent container as set by HorizontalAlignment and VerticalAlignment
properties.
